Held in the same family for over 25 years, the property sits fondly in many people’s memories. It’s the kind of place that can be hard to leave, especially the window seat.

Entry to Upper Saltings is via a set of external granite steps leading off Porthmeor Road. There is a porch area and a large old wooden door that leads into a long hallway.
Open plan and spacious, this light and airy room is stunning. The window seat is hard to leave but when you do there are plenty of other seating options. Three sofas, a desk and an oak dining table perfect for sociable meals.
Sky lights and many windows keep the magical St Ives light flooding in. Beautiful artworks adorn the walls and the soft blue carpet holds the nautical theme.
A TV, DVD, bluetooth radio/stereo and WiFi are there for your entertainment.
A balcony with fitted bench is accessible from a door in the living area. It overlooks Porthmeor beach.
The cleverly designed kitchen, with hints of the ocean, is light and sociably located along the living area. The ‘cook’ will enjoy stunning views in this well equipped space. With oven, dishwasher, hob, fridge/freezer and good work space, there is also an excellent choice of cookware and Denby china.
A washing machine is in the adjacent utility area and the dryer next to the master bedroom.
BEDROOM 1 & ENSUITE
The master bedroom has a queen bed and plenty of storage. The ensuite has a shower, toilet and washbasin.
Accessed via the living area this bedroom also features a queen size bed.
A twin room located at the back of the building. Two single beds and fitted wardrobe.
An iconic bedroom, loved by visiting children to Upper Saltings. This nautically inspired, fully fitted bunk room is great fun. We only recommend using 4 bunks as the top two are very high.
The bathroom has bath with overhead shower, toilet and washbasin. It also has a heated towel rail.

Access to Upper Saltings is via a set of external steps, approximately 12. There is a grab rail on one side. Once inside there is only one step, from the living area to access the utility room only. A more accessible property is Old Saltings.
Check-in and check-out with a keysafe system for convenience and flexibility.
Pets are not allowed. This is a no smoking property. No stags, hens or noisy parties.
How to book
Availability is on the Saltings on Porthmeor website, you are able to call us in the office to book too. We accept most major credit and debit cards.
